Blackberries

Blackberries are berry Star, they are simply scrumptious. These beautiful dark red to black-violet berries are dotingly nurtured and picked at the peak of perfection. Blackberries are rich in provitamin A, contain many B vitamins and vitamin C and fiber. The dark color also indicates a high content of plant pigments. It is believed that these secondary plant ingredients, especially those from the flavonoids and phenolic acids group, are preventive against cancer and cardiovascular disease.

In fact, in100g of blackberries the fiber content is twice much as in 100 g of brown rice, while also providing a third of the daily recommended value of the antioxidant vitamin C.
